The Tianda Institute was established in 2005 by Mr. Fang Wenquan, Chairman of the Tianda Group, as a non-profit research organization dedicated to conducting strategic and policy studies on China’s economic and social development, foreign relations and regional security. 
The Institute is headquartered in Hong Kong with representative offices in Australia and the mainland of China. The Institute aims to be an influential non-governmental brains-trust, providing independent insight and advocacy on issues related to financial policy, resources and environment, and international relations for decision-makers in China. It aims to contribute positively to China’s growth and relationships with regional partners in this way.
The Institute seeks to further the objectives through professional research and international cooperation. It is our hope that through facilitating cooperation of this nature we will further the causes of prosperity and stability of China and a better and peaceful world as a whole.

As a non-profit research organization, the Tianda Institute is dedicated to providing thoughtful and high-quality analysis and recommendations based on independent research for decision-makers in China on challenging domestic and international issues facing the country.
The issues that the Institute focuses on include areas such as financial policy, resources and environment, international relations and regional security. We share a common purpose with other well-known think tanks in the world: to contribute to the stability and prosperity of our nation and for a better and peaceful world.
